SHE

She could have chosen the other guy,
but she was happier with you.
She could have easily listened to her parent's warning,
but she didn't because for the first time in her life she wanted to take risks.
She could have chosen to ride a car,
but she didn't because she wanted to stroll the city and watch sunsets with you in a  motorcycle.
She could have stayed in her comfort zone and be safe,
but instead, she left her own world to join yours, she took a leap of faith.
She could have chosen to pursue her dreams,
but she changed because her plans now include you.
She once believed in a prince charming,
but now she doesn't because you showed her reality.
She was ready to fly, to leave the nest,
 but she stayed for you.
She could have chosen to let lose, to be free and wild,
but she's not that way, she's different.
She could have traveled the world,
and yet she stayed because she wanted you to keep up.
She could have left and taken that job abroad,
but she didn't because she wanted you both to go together.
She could have left the moment you started to break your promises,
but she didn't because still, she chose to believe you.
She could have stormed out and cut you out because you pushed her away,
but she stayed because she thinks you were just not you when you are mad.
She could have slept so peacefully during the nights,
but no, because she cried herself to sleep thinking of you.
She could have chosen to end things the moment you broke her trust,
she could have, but then again, she didn't, she stayed, she gave you another chance.
She would've wanted to go with you on adventures the way you promised her that you'd go together,
but you left her out instead, and went on an adventure with some others.
Amidst it all, she could've just given up and left you,
but again, she didn't because she held on to your promise.
She could've smiled a little better,
she did smile, but she was broken, she has been broken for a while.
She got lost, her foundation brittle, she could've broken down,
but she kept it together so that no one would know.
She kept going, waiting for you to see,
but you never took notice and you left her for some adventure instead.
She needed someone to talk to, with no one to turn to but you,
but you were miles her distance.
She's now all alone with no one to hear her woes,
you could have been her comfort, you could have kept her out of the blue.
She broke, with her pieces scattered, she rest her case,
she wanted to be fixed by you, but where were you?

She once was colored, destined for something bright,
Her color dimmed when you took her that night.
What will you do now that you've seen her ugly,
Will you leave her or make her once more steady?
